Example output
Paste the prompt below with your interview details and you get something like this:
Subject: Thank You — Glean Interview
Jane, thanks for the time today. The conversation about how Glean is approaching the PLG-to-enterprise handoff was genuinely useful — that's a problem I've spent real time on at Zapier, and it was good to hear how you're thinking about it.
The pipeline target you mentioned makes the stakes clear. I'd be bringing a playbook built for exactly that pressure.
Looking forward to the next conversation.

Every draft is specific to the conversation details you provide. The more concrete your notes, the better the output.
What you need
Any AI tool — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or any chat interface
Interview details — interviewer name, company, role, and 2-3 things you discussed. Bullet points are fine.
How to do it
Step 1
Draft the thank-you email
Right after the interview — while details are still fresh — open your AI tool and paste this prompt with your actual details filled in.
PROMPT — paste into any AI chat
Draft a post-interview thank-you email for me. Here are the details:
Interviewer: [NAME]
Company: [COMPANY]
Role: [ROLE TITLE]
What we discussed:
- [TOPIC 1 — be specific, e.g. "their PLG-to-enterprise motion"]
- [TOPIC 2 — e.g. "the pipeline target for next year ($20M)"]
- [TOPIC 3 — e.g. "how they're rebuilding onboarding"]
My background relevant to this role: [1-2 sentences about your experience that connects to what you discussed]
Email guidelines:
- Subject line: "Thank You — [Company] Interview"
- Under 150 words
- Tone: direct, professional, warm — not stiff or overly formal
- Reference at least one specific thing from the conversation
- End with a forward-looking sentence (not "I look forward to hearing from you")
- No filler phrases like "I hope this email finds you well"
- First name only for the greeting
Copy the output, paste into your email client, add the recipient's address, and send. Takes under 5 minutes total.

Using Claude Code?
Skip all of the above. I built this as a native Claude Code skill — one command handles everything automatically. It drafts the email and creates a Gmail draft directly in your inbox. No copy-paste.
CLAUDE CODE
/thank-you Jane Smith, Glean, discussed demand gen strategy, their PLG motion, pipeline target of $20M next year
/thank-you Mike Johnson, Stripe, talked about lifecycle marketing, team scaling from 5 to 10, rebuilding onboarding
Claude Code reads your context, drafts the email, and creates a Gmail draft automatically. Open Gmail, add the recipient, and send.
Tips for better results
Send it within the hour. The email hits differently when it lands same-day. Don't wait until tomorrow.
Be specific about topics. "Discussed marketing" gets you a generic draft. "Discussed how they're thinking about PLG-to-enterprise conversion" gets you something worth sending.
Add one personal touch after. The AI drafts a strong base — add one thing that only you would know from the room before you send.
Pair with interview prep beforehand. Use Interview Prep the night before, then this skill right after. Full loop covered.
